OWEN SOUND – This morning, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker issued the following statement about the COVID-19 situation:

“In an effort to ensure the safety of the public and staff, my constituency office in Owen Sound will be closed to visits from the public, as of Tuesday, March 17, as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak.

‪However, please be assured my staff and I are still available to assist you with provincial issues as required. Please contact the office at ‪519-371-2421 or bill.walkerco@pc.ola.org. Trusting you will appreciate the necessity of this decision due to the volatility of the current pandemic, and I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

During this period, I will be limiting my participation in public events and will conduct as much business by phone or email as possible.

The health and well-being of all Ontarians is our government’s top priority.

‪I encourage all residents of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound to stay updated on this developing situation. Current Information on COVID-19 can be found at the following government websites:

If you’re experiencing symptoms of the 2019 novel coronavirus, please contact Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 or the Grey Bruce Health Unit at 519-376-9420.

Please do not visit an assessment centre unless you have symptoms. Please do not call 911 unless it is an emergency.”
